Today’s travel photo is of the main central courtyard within the walls of Arundel Castle in England. Arundel Castle has nearly 1000 years of history, perched on a hill in Sussex. The castle has been home to the Duke of Norfolk for over 400 years and still is today, however visitors are permitted to visit certain parts of the castle. I found Arundel Castle to be beautifully preserved and just as interesting as some of the more popular castles in England, but without the huge crowds you find at places like Windsor Castle. The village of Arundel situated below the castle is also well worth visiting, with charming old buildings, antique shops and places to eat. It is a great place for a day trip in Southern England.
Beautiful picture of the castle. You know Albania has a lot of castles too as a part of its cultural heritage. One of the most distinguished is the one in Porto Palermo. Porto Palermo is a small but beautiful bay, where the water is so clear it looks like the boats are floating. The bay also has a historical value do to the fact that Ali Pashe Tepelena built a fortress that stands between the sea and the mountains in the perfect spot to distinguish the enemies during the war.
I love how you capture the history and grandeur of Arundel Castle’s courtyard. Your description really brings the architecture and atmosphere to life, making it easy for readers to imagine stepping into this medieval treasure. The focus on the castle’s rich past, combined with the practical tips for exploring, gives readers a great sense of what to expect during a visit. This is a helpful guide for anyone wanting to experience the beauty and history of one of England’s most remarkable castles!
