The river Seine is undoubtedly at the heart of Paris. The true essence of the city. It meanders through the city and its banks are lined with beautiful French architecture that oozes with history. At the heart of the city, the two islands of Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint Louis provide a beautiful scene with old buildings, restaurants and cafes, plus the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral.
Further along, the Eiffel Tower itself stands tall, towering above the river, and all along bridges span the river and boats and ferries head and up and down throughout the day and night. Walkways line the river and a walk along the Seine has to be one of the best things to do in Paris.
It seemed that when I was there, I managed to find myself on the Seine at least once every day. At night, the whole city lights up to paint a beautiful scene of an already beautiful city.
Today I’d like to share some of my photos of the Seine in Paris. I’m sure that these scenes will make you want to pack your bags and head to the city.
I hope you enjoyed these photos of Paris.
Those are some amazing photos.
