Today’s travel photo is of a boat making its way up Bangkok Noi in the Thonburi District of Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok Noi is one of the main canals in Bangkok, and if you visit the Taling Chan floating market by boat, or do a canal tour, you will probably use this canal to get into the Thonburi area off of the Chao Phraya River. I took this photo a couple of weeks ago during our recent trip to Bangkok. We had decided to go and explore the Thonburi side of the river which we had barely touched on our previous trips. We hopped off the ferry at the Thonburi Railway Station pier and walked along Bangkok Noi and then through the streets of Thonburi to Wang Lang Market. It was a great day, and I’ll definitely be spending more time on this side of the river during future trips to Bangkok.
