Today’s travel photo is of some row boats on the Grand Canal in the gardens of Chateau de Versailles in France. The gardens of Versailles are just as important at the Chateau itself, established at the same time as the Chateau in the 17th century. A Grand Canal, in the shape of a cross, was dug into the centre of the gardens and can be seen from the Chateau, situated on higher ground from behind where I took this photo. I actually enjoyed the gardens more that the Chateau at Versailles, mainly due to the crowds. I think I could spend days wandering around here.
