Although it’s easy to get “templed out” when travelling around Thailand, I found that I just had to look at the little things and minor details and differences to keep myself interested. At Wat Phra Singh in Chiang Rai, I found these Buddha statues surrounding a big old tree to be quite interesting and different to the other temples that I had seen.
I’ve never seen anything like that either. Great shot. Is that a fluorescent light on top of it?
I think it might be Rachel. Probably to light it up at night
What a great shot – I loved seeing all those statues in Thailand, but I have to agree its easy to get “templed out” :p
Hi Jessica. Glad you liked the shot! Yes the temples can start to all look the same after a while. You just have to stop and look at the little things and specific details of the temple. You’ll find that they are all different in some way 🙂
Beautiful picture. These golden looking Buddha figurines in elegant temples with beautiful back drop of a tree, present a very serene and beautiful picture.
