Today’s travel photo is of a quiet, empty street in Pakse, Laos. Pakse is one of those places that is basically just a transit hub for travellers making their way around Southern Laos. There are a few things to do outside of town, but Pakse doesn’t have a lot that keeps travellers there for long. I decided to stop there for a couple of days after visiting Si Phan Don (4000 Islands) to get some work done. It’s a decent sized town and it isn’t unattractive or unappealing. What it lacks in tourist attractions it makes up for in character. I quite liked the fact that I could just wander around streets such as the one in this photo and not come across a single other foreigner.
