While camping at Flanagan Reserve in South East Queensland, Australia, we managed to enjoy at least a few hours of beautiful sunshine. It turned out that we weren’t the only ones who were over the wet weather as several large Goannas came out to wonder through our camp and enjoy the warm heat of the sun. This particular one was quite large (well over a metre), and it was happy to pose for me as it sun baked.
Goannas are a type of monitor lizard that are very common in Australia, and if you spend a bit of time in the Aussie bush you are almost certain to see a few.
