Today’s travel photo is of the inside of the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam. The Central Post Office is a beautiful late 19th century French Colonial building, designed by Gustave Eiffel himself. It’s located opposite the Notre Dame Cathedral, so you can easily visit both of these interesting sites at the same time. If you love architecture, this is a must see in Saigon.
What a beautiful building! Saigon is definitely on our “must-see” list, but I wouldn’t have imagined the post office would be so amazing.
I had no idea that the post office would be a tourist attraction in Saigon, but it certainly is worth visiting 🙂
Goregous building. I’d love errands to the post office if my local looked like that. 🙂
Yeah me too, Maria! All post offices should look like that 😉
Wow, I salute the Vietnamese government for taking good care of their national heritage building such as this post office!
Hey Kristy. I’m always happy when I see old buildings like this still standing and well looked after, particularly in a big modern city.
