After all of the rain and flooding that we had here in Queensland, Australia, we were desperate for some sunshine. Although the rain wasn’t really going anywhere, it had eased off enough to only the occasional shower, so we decided to head up to Rainbow Beach for a couple of days with the hope that we could at least get a little bit of sunshine on the beach.
We camped in the Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area which is where the 4WD ferry goes across to Fraser Island, and the camping area allows dogs. Apart from a few showers on the first night, the rest of the time turned out to be beautiful sunny weather, and we got just what we were after – Sunshine on the beach! In fact, the weather was so nice that we really didn’t want to leave.
Here are some of my photos from our camping trip to Inskip Peninsula.
Wow, this looks so relaxing. I could use a beach right now … stuck in cold, smoggy north China. Glad you guys were able to escape the floods!
Hi Ellen, I know what you mean with needing a beach. The city can really get too much at times.
I had rainy weather when I was at rainbow beach…. did you guys do the dolphin feeding at Tin Can Bay?
Unfortunately, you can’t do much about the weather. We didn’t do the dolphin feeding. Sounds like a lot of fun!
