Today’s travel photo is of a man selling fruit on the street in the Old Quarter of Hanoi in Vietnam. I loved walking around the Old Quarter as there was always something interesting to see. These “mobile” sellers pretty much just set up where ever there is some free space on the sidewalk or even on the street itself. I didn’t ask him how much it was for a little bag of fruit, but I imagine that it wouldn’t have been very much.
I really love simple photos of people doing their everyday routine. I’ll also try to take photos like this the next time I travel. 🙂 By the way, what kind of fruit is he selling?
Hi Jemma. This is one of the things I’ve come to love about travel. The simple things, like seeing people just doing the everyday things. You know, I’m not sure what the fruit is that he is selling. I’ve never tried it myself. Maybe someone else knows?
Great photo – I love portraits. I must admit though, Hanoi isn’t my most favourite city in Vietnam – I LOVE Ho Chi Minh!

Hi Jennifer. Hanoi isn’t my favourite city either, but I think it was a good introduction to the country. I did also enjoy wandering around the Old Quarter. Glad you liked the photo!
Nice shot. But what are those fruits called?

I’m not sure exactly, Susie. I think one lot might be star apples.
