As I travelled through Laos, the Mekong River made a lasting impression. It was the first thing I saw as I entered the country across the Friendship Bridge to Vientiane, it was ever present as I explored the spiritual heart of Laos at Luang Prabang, and finally it was my highway as I made my way back to Thailand on the slow boat to Huay Xai. The Mekong River is a beautiful, powerful force of nature that is full of life. This is the Mekong River in photos.
Great photos
Thanks Lee

Beautiful photos! It looks very serene and beautiful. How many days were you on the slow boat? Did you get bored at all?

Thanks Maggie. I was on the slow boat for 2 days between Luang Prabang and Huay Xai (Where you can cross into Thailand) in Laos – about 9 hours each day. I didn’t find it boring at all, apart from all of the amazing scenery I just relaxed and read a book and also got some writing done.
Oh, nice. Two days sounds like the pefect amount of time!
