Today’s travel photo is of some delicious Claypot Nasi Briyani in George Town on Penang, Malaysia. Penang is the food capital of Malaysia and any visit to this interesting place should be a time of indulgence – the food is incredible. Nasi Briyani is an Indian influenced dish and it is always better in a clay pot. I got this particular dish at the Red Garden Hawker Court in Chinatown. There was so much food to choose from there that it was a tough choice, but I was very happy with my decision. This dish cost 6 Ringet ($2). I could definitely go back for more!
It looks delicious! I am very curious what is the red veggies on the rice. Is that a chili or red bell pepper?
That’s a good question, Kristy. I think it is chili, but I could be mistaken. Whatever it is it was nice! 😉
