I’ve been busy training for my next big adventure lately, which I will tell you all about in coming weeks. A huge part of my training has been climbing as many mountains as I can, and this panorama is the view from the top of Mount Edwards in Moogerah Peaks National Park in South East Queensland, Australia. It’s not a tall mountain, but it has a nice steep path going to the summit, which makes it a perfect place to train for my next adventure. The reward for making it to the top is this incredible view of the fertile farmland of the Fassifern Valley.
More about hiking in Moogerah Peaks National Park
Moogerah Peaks National Park offers excellent hiking through rugged volcanic landscapes, dense eucalypt forests, and panoramic summit views. Located in Queensland’s Scenic Rim region, the park consists of four main peaks—Mount Edwards, Mount French, Mount Greville, and Mount Moon—each offering unique trails suited to different experience levels. Mount Edwards features a well-defined track leading to breathtaking views over Lake Moogerah, while Mount Greville’s Waterfall Gorge and Palm Gorge routes provide a more challenging ascent through striking rock formations. Mount French is popular for both hiking and rock climbing, with the Logans Lookout trail offering spectacular vistas.
