In Laos’ sleepy little capital city, Vientiane, there is a large area of land along the Mekong River front that has been set aside as parkland. Every evening that I was in the city, I went down to the river front to sit and watch the beautiful sunset over the river.
Locals and tourists a like come to this area to walk, ride bikes, exercise and watch the sunset, and I always found it a great time to do some people watching. This photo essay covers one particular evening when the sunset was one of the best that I have seen.
Love that last photo. Looks like a pot of gold is being dropped from above.
The sky was certainly golden. Glad you liked the photo Sophie. Cheers
Looks absolutely amazing! I would so love to spend some quality time there.
Hey Spencer. It’s a great place to just sit and think…and what a view!
Fabulous photos…love those big puffy clouds! I’ve never been to Laos before, but these flicks have definitely inspired me to add it to the list!
