Today’s travel photo is of the ancient ruins of Wat Chai Wattanaram in the old Siam capitol of Ayutthaya, Thailand.
About Wat Chai Wattanaram
Wat Chai Wattanaram was built in the 17th Century by King Prasat Thong. It was left to ruin after the Burmese defeated and destroyed the city in the 18th Century. The wat seems to be perfectly symmetrical and is one of the most impressive sites in Ayutthaya.
We didn’t see many of the Wats in Thailand, but the ones we did were amazing. Nice photo.
I think I’m all templed out I’ve seen so many of them, but they are amazing and I will probably see more. Loving Thailand!
Wow! That looks stunning! I can’t wait to see it in person one day soon.
Yes it’s an amazing place, very interesting. I hope you can see it soon! Thanks, Annette.
Bing.com sent me a new desktop image a few days ago. At the time I did not know what the image was. Today, Bin.g.com did the same thing as a few days ago. At first, I was mad. Then I thought of the image and how relaxing and soothing it was to look at. Bing.com totally removed it from my desktop pictures. So I started searching the net. It took about an hour without knowing exactly what it was called or where it is located.
The photo image is of Wat Chai Wattanaram in Ayuttaya, Thailand.
If you can send any other jpeg images of this temple, it would be appreciated. My e-mail address is joef1272@verizon.net
