When my wife and I got married, we decided to spend our month long honeymoon in Italy. It was absolutely perfect and we instantly fell in love with this beautiful country. Like most people, we arrived in Rome and spent four amazing days exploring the city.
I was recently going through some old photos that I took during the trip and thought that I would share some of my favourites from one of the world’s greatest cities. I hope you enjoy these photos of Rome.

Technically this is not in Rome, but I had to include a photo from the Vatican City. It is a must see on any visit to Rome. This is The Gallery of Maps inside the Vatican Museums
Rome is a city full of history, culture and romance. I can’t wait to go back and see more.
I do really enjoyed! How it couldn’t be different? Rome is amazing, there are so stunning views never seen elsewhere. Francy R recently posted..Summer in Paris
Rome is certainly a unique city in many ways. The history and culture really gives it something special. Cheers Francy Dean Wickham recently posted..Photos of Rome, Italy
gorgeous gorgeous GOOORGEOUS set!! Ahh, you are making me miss Rome too much right now. And I agree – the Vatican was unreal. Funny, my favorite room (or one of them) is the one you pictured. I’m just obsessed with maps and geography and world travel (naturally). Great post! Maria Alexandra @latinAbroad recently posted..Life after travel: My depression and learning to live day by day
Hi Maria. I made myself miss Rome a lot by posting these photos! But they bring back good memories.
The Gallery of Maps was one of my favourite rooms in the Vatican as well. The maps are so detailed and interesting, and the ceiling is just breathtaking. Cheers! Dean Wickham recently posted..Photos of Rome, Italy
You are definitely right Ellen. I barely scratched the surface of what there is to see and do in Rome. I would love to perhaps rent an apartment there sometime so that I can spend a lot longer. Dean Wickham recently posted..Photos of Rome, Italy
Wow, so many beautiful shots! I don’t think I could pick a favorite one. Rome on a sunny day is an amazing experience!
I agree. You can’t beat Rome on a sunny day! Cheers
