Today’s travel photo is of some riverside houses in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. This was one of my favourite parts of the Mekong Delta as our boat slowly made its way through the maze of channels of the Mekong River. This was a very quiet part of the river where locals have built their houses on stilts out over the riverbank. These houses are more like shacks, but it is what these people call home. In Australia the houses would be a lot fancier, but a property like this would be worth millions. These people have certainly chosen a great spot to build their meagre homes. You can’t really beat that view.
