Today’s travel photo is of the view from Eucla in Western Australia at sunset. Eucla is about as far east as you can go in Western Australia, located only 12 kilometres from the border with South Australia. In fact, it isn’t even on the same timezone as Perth. When driving along the Eyre Highway before Eucla along the Nullarbor of Western Australia, there is a low escarpment that runs parallel to the highway. At Eucla, the highway climbs up on top of that escarpment, providing some lovely views of the plain below. I took this photo from the Eucla Caravan Park, which is where a lot of people stay overnight when travelling across the Nullarbor.
