Today’s travel photo is of a view of the Mekong River from Chiang Saen in Thailand. Chiang Saen is a town situated in the very north-western corner of Thailand, close to the area known as the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. This photo looks across the Mekong to Laos on the other side. Chiang Saen is an interesting town that contains a lot of ancient ruins dating back to the 13th century.
