As we made our way south today down into New South Wales, we passed by the rugged peaks of Mount Barney on the Queensland side of the border. Although it was covered in cloud today, it reminded me of the time that I climbed to the summit of Mount Barney in preparation for Mount Kilimanjaro last year. It turned out to be one hell of a challenging hike, and I took this photo of the mountain near the start of the trail before I began the climb. I do a lot of hiking, but this is one that I will always remember.
