There is a question that a lot of people ask before they go travelling, and I’ve even asked that question a few times myself. Should you buy travel insurance? My answer is always yes. It is simply not worth taking the risk of going overseas without insurance. Yes, you will most likely (and hopefully) not need it. Yes, it means spending money that you could spend on your actual holiday. But what happens on that one unlucky occasion when you travel overseas and get robbed, injured or seriously ill? How are you going to pay for the hospital bills? Do you not mind replacing that $1000 camera out of your own pocket?
I always purchase travel insurance before I travel overseas. It is generally a small price to pay for the peace of mind. I even have travel insurance on my current trip, which is a total of 6 months overseas. I like knowing that if something does go wrong, I’m covered.
If you’re still not sure if you want to spend the money on travel insurance for your upcoming trip, here’s another incentive. How does $1000 spending money sound in return for purchasing travel insurance?
If you are an Australian resident, Fast Cover are offering you the chance to win $1000 spending money when you purchase travel insurance with them. Since this is something you should be doing anyway, this is a pretty good deal. Here are the details:
Fast Cover are giving away $1000 each week during September. All you have to do is purchase your policy during this month. This is only available for residents of Australia, you must be over 18 years old and you are only allowed one entry. Check out the terms and conditions for more info.
Insurance is always a good choice for safety purposes. But if you don’t have enough money to pay for it, you might as well get yourself a travel package that will give extra coverage in case of emergencies.
